The school day starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.15pm. Registration is from 8.50am to 9.00am.
At 10.30am, children from Y1 to Y6 have a break until 10:45am.
Children in Nursery and Reception have their lunch at 11.30am and their break ends at 12:30pm. Those in KS1 and KS2 have lunch between 12:00 midday and 1:00pm
Currently, we are not having assemblies due to the mass gathering of children. In normal circumstances, we have whole school assemblies on Monday, Tuesday at 1pm which are based around British Values, class work and issues which are important to our children. On Thursday at 1pm we have class based assembly, which allows the children to reflect on their learning for that week. On Friday we hold a celebration assembly at 9am to which parents are invited.
Drop-off and collection
Again, this is very different at the moment. Children are brought at staggered times before 9:00am, with collection of children beginning at 3:05pm. Again, under normal circumstances, at the beginning and end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school – we want to have good links with all parents. If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.
Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.
