This week some of our lucky KS1 and KS2 children attended Children’s University. Children’s University encourages and celebrates children’s participation in extracurricular activities, such as after school clubs. Each time a child attends an after school club they build up ‘credits’ which are added to their passports. Children can also gain credits by visiting "Learning Destinations" such as the library, museums, places of interest and sports clubs. Children with 30 credits or more graduate at Edge Hill University and credits carry over to the next year.
Below, Zoltan tells us about his experience at Children’s University.
“On Tuesday, we went to Children’s University! When I graduated I was joyful because I like standing in front of lots of people whenever I graduate. When we started going to Children’s University, I was one of the first ones to go. I have been every year! Before we went back to school, we threw our hats high up in the air. There were quite a lot of hats flying around!” – Zoltan, Y5
