It’s that time of year again and Easter is upon us! To mark the celebrations we will be holding numerous Easter events. On Wednesday 3rd April, we will be going to church in the morning for an Easter service delivered by Reverend Rachel. As always, friends and family are welcome to join us.
Early Years hold an annual Easter Bonnet parade, the children have lots of fun making and parading their bonnets and therefore, we would like to extend this celebration to the whole school. Children from Nursery – Y6 are asked to decorate an Easter Bonnet and bring it in to school on Tuesday 2nd April. All children will then parade around in their Easter Bonnets, parents will be welcome to come and watch this, at 9.30 am. There will be one winner per class.
Additionally, we will also be holding an ‘Egg rolling’ competition. All children are welcome to bring in 1 hardboiled egg which they can decorate at home. These eggs will be displayed in class for the children to look at; we will then take our eggs outside and roll them down a hill. The egg to roll the furthest will win a prize.
Finally, as our Christmas Lunch was such a huge success, we would like to hold an Easter Lunch this term. Family, friends, and the local community are welcomed in to school to eat with the children. This will be a free event, but places must be reserved to ensure there is enough food for everyone. Letters will go home in the next couple of weeks with return slips attached.
We will break up for Easter on Friday 5th April at 1.30 pm.
As always, thank you for all of your continued support, we are looking forward to the above events and hope that you enjoy them as much as we will do.
