KS2 Chess Tournament
On Thursday evening, some of our KS2 children played a friendly chess match against some of the children from St. Thomas the Martyr Primary School in Upholland. Below Harvi tells us about his experience.

“We had a Chess tournament on Thursday night. I drew 3 matches. There were 16 children there. There were2 groups with 8 children in each group and 2 teachers. I enjoyed it, it was exciting. I played against a girl from St. Thomas, she was very good.
My favourite Chess piece is the Queen because it can move in any direction and as many spaces as you want. I also like the Pawn because when it gets to the end, I get one of my pieces back.”
